HOCKEY HEALTH

Playing the game of hockey is great for your health -- not just for the cardiovascular exercise value that it provides, but for it's ability to reduce the stress of every day living. 

Playing hockey reduces stress in two ways --

  1. Hockey requires your complete attention to the game.  By focusing your thoughts solely on hockey your able to shift your focus away from the stresses of the day to day, and this allows your body to release accumulated tension.  
     
  2. Spending time with friends can lower your stress levels and strengthen your immune system.  Friends help you unwind, again helping you relax after the game.
